Rooibos (pronounced roy-boss) meaning "red bush" or bush tea is a broom-like herb native to South Africa. When harvested and dried it can be brewed into a reddish-brown herbal infusion which is caffeine-free and rich in minerals. It has an earthy, sometimes smokey taste to it with a bit of a sweet finish. This herb is still "new" to the tea scene and has only been cultivated for the last 300 years.
